Coverage by adequate insurance (“privat”or “halbprivat”) is usually required for treatment in private hospitals. Minor surgery may be performed in an out-patient setting and is covered by the compulsory basic health insurance.

The postoperative treatment will be carried out in cooperation with the referring physician. Tumor patients are cared for by an interdisciplinary team, together with oncologists, radio-oncologists, general practicioners and psychotherapists.
